In collaboration with BADM and the Taproot Foundation, ID created a hardworking yet playful site using TYPO3 and Magento.
“The redesign of the Bay Area Discovery Museum web site allowed us to increase the types of content we share – from including interactive forms, social media widgets, videos, photos and more. TYPO3 is great because it allows non-techies to update content easily and quickly. We can add pages, change content, update images and more on a regular basis, which keeps our web site fresh and visitors coming back!”
– Jennifer Caleshu, Director of Earned Revenue and Project Management, Bay Area Discovery Museum
The Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) is a one-of-a-kind indoor and outdoor children's museum at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, serving over 300,000 visitors per year on its 7.5 acre Sausalito campus. The Museum asked us to help create a hardworking yet playful site that showcased its vast array of programs and activities and offered an effortless online store experience for customers.
Combining the power of commerce platform Magento and content management system TYPO3, we collaborated with BADM and the Taproot Foundation to organize their many programs into an intuitive structure and create a look that was bright and inviting, mirroring visitors’ experience at the Museum. The content is managed by TYPO3 which gives their small staff the ability keep the content dynamic by enabling them to easily make changes. Additionally camp registration, ticket sales, membership purchases, and a custom reporting tool were implemented in Magento.
